2020 Wrap

In theory – 2020 would have been a year where I had more time than ever to write – but for me it was one of the busiest years I have had, with work and with family life. Still, there were moments of productivity and creativity and along the way a number of poems found their way out into the world.

2021 is shaping up well and I hope to have an exciting announcement early in the New Year about what is coming next. In the meantime, here’s a wrap of 2020:

Published:

Not Very Quiet Volume 7 – ‘Mother is a Cyclo’

Australian Poetry Anthology Volume 8 – ‘One hundred years at the marriage table’

Writ Poetry review #4 – ‘Songbirds of Saigon’

Plumwood Mountain 7.1 (Plant Poetics) – ‘Silky Oak’ and ‘Banksia Serrata’

Verity La – ‘Box Kite’

Stylus Lit Issue 7 – ‘Eating banh mi near Ben Thanh’

Ipswich Poetry Feast – 2nd Prize Picture Ipswich: ‘Artefacts from my grandmother’s house’

As always, many thanks to those who have bought books in 2020 and supported local writers, poets, artists. I write because I want to be read, so having my books in the hands of many is what brings the greatest joy.
