On Saturday 24 September I had the great honour of launching Critical State, the new book of poetry from B.R. Dionysius. It was a terrific launch event, held at Under the Greenwood Tree bookshop and art gallery at Tamborine Mountain, in warm sunshine and with great anticipation. I mentioned in my launch speech that this was a great coup for Calanthe Press. Critical State is an important book – and provides a stunning commentary on the state of Queensland’s environment.
